Located in the Village at Kingsmill, this small place fills up fast with diners who savor the pizzas, pastas and veal dishes. Josiah Chowning's Tavern
(Restaurants - European)
100 E Duke of Gloucester St
Williamsburg VA 23185
757-229-2141
Description:
COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG. Though it no longer serves food, this cozy tavern harkens back to the Colonial days by offering a full slate of nightly gambols. What's a gambol? Gambols are fun, bawdy games and songs that were popular in 18th century taverns and pubs. Patrons are encouraged to participate so order up a house ale and enjoy the scene. As for the atmosphere, the old pine floors, rustic walls and primitive furnishings will leave you wondering: Will Josiah himself make an appearance tonight? The gambols usually start around 9pm.

1915 Pocohontas Tr
Williamsburg VA 23185
757-220-3616
Description:
A little bit of country French tucked into the Village Shops at Kingsmill. Le Yaca is locally known as one of the most creative and best dining establishments in the area. Their French onion soup and leg of lamb are house specialties, and another claim to fame is the Marquis au Chocolat a rich chocolate truffle cake in vanilla sauce. The food is the real thing, and the atmosphere is as appealing as the menu elegant but not stuffy.
